Like many dental procedures, veneers have risks and benefits. While this is an aesthetic procedure, it is also a dental treatment that is not reversible. Discuss these with your healthcare provider and/or your cosmetic dentist.
There are two common types of dental veneers: porcelain veneers and bonded veneers. Both can carry out a similar purpose: they look and function like natural teeth, can be customized to suit your goals, are biocompatible, and are bonded to your real teeth. Both types of veneers must be crafted and bonded to your teeth by a cosmetic dentist.
Porcelain veneers, like our InfinityVeneers™, are constructed from a natural-looking, stain-resistant ceramic porcelain material. They are safe, biocompatible, durable, and look just like natural teeth. Our porcelain veneers are individually personalised to our patients down to the last detail (including the shade, shape, and more!) They can be adjusted and customised to suit your exact preferences and to ensure lasting comfort.
Bonded veneers are also known as direct veneers or composite veneers. They are made from resin and much like porcelain veneers, they are bonded directly to your teeth. The difference is that bonded veneers are less stain resistant and less durable than porcelain veneers. Bonded veneers generally cost less, but they do not provide the same lasting benefits that InfinityVeneers™ provide.

Want to get started, but you need to know more about what the process entails? We’re here to set your mind at ease! Here is what you need to know before you get veneers.
The first step is to schedule a consultation with your cosmetic dentist. Before your appointment, start thinking about what you’d like to discuss with them. What are your expectations? Do you have worries and anxieties about getting veneers? What’s your budget? And, what do you want to change about your current smile? This is all important for your cosmetic dentist to know.
By talking with you virtually or in person, your cosmetic dentist will be able to recommend personalised treatments and answer your questions so that you can be confident going into the next steps.
Once you have decided to proceed with your InfinityVeneers™, you will need to get an oral scan to determine the exact shape and size of your mouth. We will also need clinical photos and records. We will keep this information fully confidential, but it is important to fitting your new veneers. Once we have all the information we need, we’ll digitally create a Cosmetic Smile Design for your new smile!
Next, we will order a mockup or temporary veneer to try on for size. If you want to make any adjustments or if we find it is necessary to refine the mockup, we will make these changes. It is easy to refine the shade of white, the shape of the veneer, and much more during this stage! This can help you decide exactly what will best suit your facial features while also feeling natural in your mouth.
Once we’ve completed all the necessary prep work, we’ll take impressions of your teeth and send them off to the lab so that our ceramists can begin handcrafting your final veneers.
After your handcrafted InfinityVeneers™ have been constructed in the lab, you will be able to come in and try on your final veneers. If we need to make any final adjustments or changes, it may be possible to do so immediately so you can still walk out with your brand-new smile. If not, we will keep making adjustments until they are 100% perfect. We will try to get it correct the first time, but we will revise as needed. After all, your new smile is forever and we want it to be spot-on!
If you are head over heels with your new InfinityVeneers™, it’s time to get them permanently bonded to your teeth! Congratulations – it’s official! Your smile makeover is complete. We will continue to be here for you if you have any questions about caring for your new porcelain veneers.
