Receding gums corrected with
Pinhole Surgery
Condition:
The patient’s gums were receding causing unwanted sensitivity, complaining that her “…teeth look like horse teeth, they’re getting so long.”
Treatment:
90 minutes’ worth of pinhole surgery treatment, with the patient staying for a week in Sydney as close follow-up was necessary.
Summary:
This patient had receding gums that affected her teeth’s sensitivity to cold and hot foods and beverages. Due to the receding gums her teeth also gave the look that they were growing in length when in fact they were stationary, in the patient’s words “my teeth look like horse teeth, they’re getting so long”.
A 90-minute pinhole surgery was initially performed to correct the receding gums. The patient then stayed in Sydney for a week with subsequent follow-ups with no visible bruising, or inflammation, and without any pain. 6 months later and the gums still had no occurrences of any bruising, inflammation or pain, the patient was stoked with the results.
